The website

This website brings together the history, people, buildings and academic traditions of the University of Glasgow in Chinese and English. Nailong illustrations accompany its Scottish and university-history themes.

Editorial approach

Historical information is based primarily on material published by the University of Glasgow, its museum and its schools. Each person's relationship to the University is identified separately: former students, professors and employees are not all described as graduates. These summaries do not replace primary-source research.

Images and identity

The coat of arms and wordmark use the original SVG from the UofG website, without redrawing or recolouring. The Latin motto Via, Veritas, Vita means “the Way, the Truth, the Life”.

Nailong, the Highland scene, the scholars' portraits and the group portrait of the three figures associated with the foundation are AI-generated fan illustrations, not historical portraits or documentary photographs. The group composition is commemorative and does not imply that James II, Turnbull and Nicholas V met or posed together.

Campus photographs are identified separately from fan illustrations. Photographers, source pages and licence links appear below the images and on the Sources page.

Status of the website

This is an independent fan project, neither affiliated with nor authorised by the University of Glasgow or the Nailong rights holder. Display of the University's identity does not imply endorsement. Names, marks and character rights belong to their respective owners.

The website does not provide admissions or application services. Consult the relevant official pages for opening arrangements, events and exhibitions.
